Tom Schapira is the Founder of Imagine Capital Group, an independent FIG advisory and strategy practice. He advises lower- and middle-market clients on buy-side and sell-side M&A across fintech, with specialization in payments, wealthtech, open banking, capital markets, and MGAs. He also partners with banks and insurers on M&A strategy and transformation, and selectively advises on emerging manager funds and real estate.
Over more than two decades, Tom has advised founders, CEOs, GPs, and boards on the transactions and strategic decisions that shape company trajectories. He previously held senior strategy roles at FIS (formerly SunGard), A.T. Kearney, and Accenture's financial services practice. He holds Series 63 and 82 licenses and conducts securities transactions through Wellesley Hills Securities, and earned an MBA with honors from IE Business School in Madrid and a BA with honors from The George Washington University.
Tom splits his time between London and Lisbon with his wife, Sarah, and their daughters, Liliana and Isla. He speaks French, Spanish, and Romanian, and is an avid sailor.
