Gonzalo Toraño was CEO of BBVA Asia-Pacific from 2010 to 2017 overseeing wholesale and retail banking in the region, having started with BBVA in 1999. From August 2007 to August, he was head of BBVA´s Consumer Finance, Chairman of BBVA Finanzia, Chairman of Uno-e Bank, Chairman of BBVA Finanziamento, Chairman of Finanzia SpA Italia. He has been on the board of numerous companies like CITIC China, CITIC Hong Kong, BBVA Chile, and Argentaria SVB. He has an MBA from IE Business School, Madrid Spain.
